| Perinatal Pathology |
| An important branch in fetal medicine. The babies delivered after termination of pregnancy due to a congenital malformation or intrauterine death may be subjected to detailed postmortem examination ( Autopsy / Anatomic-Pathologic Examination). This helps in identification of various associations & syndromes so that the recurrence risk can be estimated .These couples will be offered preconceptional counselling and a plan of management for any future pregnancy. |
