Pre-pregnancy counseling is offered to any woman planning a baby. It is important for every couple to seek help before embarking on a pregnancy. Screening of medical disorders is done. Genetic counseling, if necessary, is offered and, more importantly screening for sexually transmitted diseases like HIV / Hepatitis B is offered. |

| Multiple Pregnancy Clinic |
For twins, triplets and more…
These pregnancies are known to be associated with likelihood of pregnancy loss, preterm births, low birth weight babies and prolonged hospitalization. The expectant mother may develop high blood pressure or diabetes. There is enough evidence to support the need for a special outpatient clinic devoted to these mothers. The outcome of multiple pregnancy is much better with these dedicated clinics offering close monitoring and counseling.
