About Sheetal Samson (Midwife)

Meet Sheetal, who is here to support you with gentle care and a listening ear. Specialising in moms with a fear of childbirth or traumatic past birth experiences, she creates birth plans centred around you and your peace of mind. She takes the time to explain the science behind your care and makes sure you are fully informed to make the best decisions about your health. Sheetal is a nurse leader with over 25 years of professional experience in nursing, midwifery, education, and administration. She is also a Lamaze 
International Certified Childbirth Educator. 

She is currently serving as the Principal of the Fernandez School of Nursing (FSN) and is also a Programme Lead at the National Midwifery Training Institute (NMTI). Her approach combines clinical expertise, educational innovation, and administrative leadership, all while maintaining a deep commitment to respectful, safe, and competent care for mothers and babies. Sheetal firmly believes in the uniqueness of each mother’s birthing journey and advocates for a woman-centred approach, recognising the physiological, emotional, and spiritual significance of this experience.
