Dr Sireesha is a Consultant Paediatrician at Fernandez. She completed her MBBS from Narayana Medical College, Nellore, followed by an MD in Paediatrics from Kurnool Medical College. She pursued an IAP Fellowship in Neonatology at Fernandez Foundation. In addition, she is a BPNI-certified lactation counsellor, a national-level trainer in Basic and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Programmes (NRP), and has been formally trained in Point of Care Ultrasound, accredited by the National Neonatology Forum.
She is an expert in managing critically ill and extremely preterm neonates from birth to discharge, including resuscitation, invasive and noninvasive ventilation, therapeutic hypothermia, inhaled nitric oxide, central line and intercostal drain placement, and point-of-care ultrasound, including 2D echocardiography. In addition to her clinical acumen, she provides lactation counselling for postnatal mothers and is actively involved in academic training as faculty for DrNB Neonatology and IAP Neonatology Fellowship programs. Her academic contributions include two research theses and a published case report in Acta Scientific Paediatrics.
