About Ankita Das

Ankita is a Consultant Nutritionist at Fernandez with over 10 years of experience in multispecialty and maternity care settings. She completed her BSc in Food and Nutrition from the University of Calcutta and holds an MSc in Applied Nutrition from the All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health (WBUHS). She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and has also completed specialised training in maternal and infertility nutrition. She brings a strong foundation in clinical nutrition and a passion for promoting healthy living through individualized dietary guidance.

Her areas of specialisation include developing personalised nutrition plans for obstetric, gynaecologic, and medically complex patients, conducting thorough nutrition assessments, and providing both individual and group counselling to patients and their families. She collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, evidence-based care. Her work has also included conducting nutrition-related research and sharing insights with medical teams to enhance patient outcomes. She is a life member of the Indian Dietetic Association (Bengal Chapter) and an annual member of the Society for Nutrition and Dietetics. Her core competencies include nutrition assessment and counseling, medical nutrition therapy, diabetes education and management, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
