Celestina Cavinder

Celestina is a Professional Doula at Fernandez with over three decades of hands-on experience in parenthood consultancy and childbirth support. Her journey spans Europe, Africa, and Asia, offering her deep insight into cross-cultural perspectives on birth and maternal care. Her global exposure, combined with the lived experience of raising six children across Mysore, Bangalore, and Athens, has refined her ability to empathetically support mothers throughout the perinatal journey. 
 
 She holds multiple certifications including Certified Labour Doula (CAPPA, US), Certified Postpartum Doula (Doula School Canada), Gentle Birth Educator (US), and Infant and Pregnancy Loss Support (Doula School Canada). Her commitment to lifelong learning is reflected in her participation in advanced workshops on Water Birth, Breech Birth, and Acupressure. Her visionary thinking led to the development of Fernandez’s in-house Birth Care Practitioner Certification Course (BCPCC), created in collaboration with the University of Hyderabad. She played a pivotal role in conceptualising and designing the curriculum to nurture a new generation of birth professionals. With deep compassion and dedication, she helped establish a specialised care pathway at Fernandez to offer individualised attention and healing to grieving families.
