Dr Apoorva is a Consultant Neonatologist at Fernandez. She completed her MBBS from Maharajah’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Vizianagaram, followed by an MD in Pediatrics from Niloufer Hospital, Osmania Medical College. She then pursued a DM in Neonatology at the same institute.
She has extensive expertise in the care of critically ill neonates, with clinical interests spanning neonatal resuscitation, ventilation strategies, quality improvement in Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), and infection control in the NICU. She is trained in point-of-care ultrasound, including functional 2D echocardiography, neurosonography, and lung ultrasound. Passionate about neonatal education, she mentors IAP Fellowship students and has been part of several faculty-led training sessions and CMEs. Her academic contributions include award-winning national presentations and multiple peer-reviewed publications, with a strong focus on KMC and neonatal cardiology.
