Dr Krishna Chaithanya is a Consultant Andrologist at Fernandez, with extensive expertise in male infertility and assisted reproductive technologies. He completed his MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore, a Master's in Clinical Embryology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Reproductive Sciences from Monash University, Australia. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Management from AIIMS Chennai.
His core areas of expertise include clinical andrology and male infertility, DNA fragmentation, surgical sperm retrieval, and microfluidics in andrology. In clinical embryology, Dr Krishna Chaithanya specialises in ICSI, IMSI, PGD/PGT-A, embryo biopsy, vitrification, IVF lab setup, and genetic counselling. He is highly skilled in laboratory techniques such as micromanipulation, cryopreservation, and laser-assisted hatching, and quality control in ART laboratories. He serves on
advisory boards for Ferring Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and Cooper Surgical, and contributes to several Special Interest Groups in genetics and embryology.
Recognised nationally for his contributions to reproductive science, he was named Embryologist of the Year by the Times of India (2021) and Economic Times (2019), and received the ICON of the Year award from ISAR in 2019. Her research has resulted in over 50 peer-reviewed publications and co-authored chapters in key textbooks on ART.
