About Dr Pooja Shenoy (Doula)

Dr Pooja is a Professional Doula at Fernandez. She completed her MBBS from the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Maharashtra, followed by an MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Soochow University, Suzhou, PR China. Over the years, she has undertaken extensive professional development, becoming a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, DONA Certified Doula, Certified Hypnobirthing Practitioner, and BPNI Certified Lactation Counsellor. Currently, she leads the Doula Team at Fernandez and serves as Course Coordinator and Mentor for the Birth Care Practitioner Certification Course (BCPCC) since 2024.

She has actively pursued advanced training in the Gentle Birth Method, Perinatal Communication, Use of Rebozo for Challenging Births, Acupressure, Spinning Babies, and Infant Massage, among others. Her work extends to conducting workshops and delivering talks at numerous national platforms, including LAMBCON, ECHO Project, and conferences at the University of Hyderabad and the National Pediatric and Maternal Nursing Conference. An enthusiastic educator, Dr Pooja has facilitated in-house trainings for maternity staff, PMET students, intrapartum nurses, midwives, and doctors, and hosted several public sessions and webinars for expectant couples.
