Dr Pragnya is a Visiting Consultant in Gynaecology with advanced training and clinical expertise in breast oncology, oncoplastic surgery, and community-based breast health outreach. She is the Founder of UC Breast Foundation, which provides free treatment for women with breast cancer, and Breast Health Express, a pioneering mobile breast screening unit.
Dr Pragnya completed her MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai. She holds a Master's in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery from the University of East Anglia, UK, and has completed fellowships at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, UK, and Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She is an HBNI Fellow in Breast Oncology and has earned her MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.
Her clinical work encompasses the multidisciplinary management of breast cancer, including oncoplastic surgeries, therapeutic mammoplasty, lymphedema care, and early detection initiatives. Dr. Pragnya is a seasoned academician and presenter, having delivered oral and poster presentations at both national and international platforms, including the Indian Cancer Congress and the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. She has also been actively involved in clinical research through collaborative initiatives like CReDO and continues to work on evolving protocols for early breast cancer care.
