Dr Y Srinivas

Dr Srinivas is a Visiting Consultant in General Surgery at Fernandez with more than three decades of extensive experience in the field. He completed his MBBS from Osmania Medical College, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Gandhi Medical College, where he was awarded Gold Medals for excellence in the field. He obtained his FRCS from Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and went on to pursue higher surgical training and clinical practice in the UK.
 
With a strong foundation in general and laparoscopic surgery, he has developed special interests and advanced training in breast, thyroid, gastrointestinal, and trauma surgery. His dedication to surgical education is evident through his active involvement in teaching medical students and mentoring junior surgeons. He has contributed to the field through 
numerous publications and has organised workshops focusing on both clinical skills and teaching methodology. Dr Srinivas has extensive experience in clinical auditing, conducting objective structured clinical examinations (OSCE), and delivering 
sessions based on informed consent. He is also a regular faculty member in induction programs for both undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees.
