consultations to ensure a safe, smooth, and informed experience with Fernandez Hospitals.
Online consultations at Fernandez Hospitals are designed to offer convenient, secure, and
reliable medical guidance for Obstetrics and Gynaecology care.
- Consultations are conducted remotely through digital means (audio/video/text) and may have
limitations compared to an in-person visit.
Teleconsultations are suitable for general advice, follow-ups, and non-emergency
concerns. Teleconsultation services are strictly not intended for emergency or life-threatening
conditions. In case of emergency symptoms including but not limited to severe pain, bleeding, breathing
difficulty, reduced foetal movements, or any other medical issue, the patient must immediately visit nearest
emergency medical care, whether the concerned RMP who is giving teleconsultation has specifically advised
you or not. The Hospital and RMP shall not be liable for any delay in seeking emergency
treatment.
- If clinically required, you may be advised to seek an in-person examination or emergency
care.
- In case if the Registered Medical Practitioner specifically advises you (the patient) to
visit the O.P/EC, the same shall have to be adhered strictly.
The medical opinion rendered through teleconsultation is provisional in nature and subject to
confirmation upon physical examination where clinically indicated.Please join your session on time using a
stable internet connection in a quiet, well-lit space. Keep relevant medical records and reports ready for
review.
By proceeding with an online consultation, you confirm and acknowledge that:
- You are voluntarily seeking a teleconsultation and consent to receive medical advice through telemedicine.
- The Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP) will identify themselves by name, qualifications, and registration number, and you have the right to verify these credentials.
- Telemedicine may not be appropriate for all medical conditions.
- The limitations of telemedicine, including possible technical interruptions, connectivity issues, and limitations in physical examination, have been explained.
- The Hospital and RMP shall not be held responsible for:
- internet failures
- platform disruptions
- audio/video quality issues
- power failures
- device malfunction
- unauthorized third-party access beyond reasonable control
- Any clinical limitation arising due to such technical issues shall not constitute medical negligence.
- Your personal and medical information will be kept confidential in accordance with applicable laws; however, there are inherent risks in electronic communication.
- Patients are strictly prohibited from recording, photographing, screen-recording, or otherwise reproducing the teleconsultation session without prior written consent of the Hospital. Unauthorized recording may attract legal action under applicable laws.
- If a prescription is issued, it will be shared electronically and will comply with telemedicine prescription norms and regulatory restrictions. Certain medicines may not be prescribed remotely.
- The prescription issued via teleconsultation is valid only for the specific patient and for the condition assessed during the consultation. Any adverse reaction or worsening of symptoms must be immediately reported and may require physical evaluation.
